L&T Chairman Emeritus A M Naik (AMN) has been conferred the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award 2024 by the All India Management Association (AIMA), the apex body of the management profession in India. AMN was the unanimous choice of the august jury.
The award recognises AMN’s success in implementing industry’s best management practices, while transforming L&T into a global powerhouse. He had articulated a new vision which placed the Company on a new direction of growth while boosting shareholder value. He has built facilities and put in place the systems which strengthened the management fabric of the organisation.
AMN has contributed to expanding a learning ecosystem which facilitated the transformation of professionals to leaders. The 7-Step Leadership Programme which he conceived and implemented enabled L&t to develop a sustainable solution to the continuing challenge of top-level leadership. His active personal involvement in mentoring the current and future leadership at the apex level ensures that the Company effectively address the challenges of the future.
This prestigious award will add to the number of the lifetime achievement awards that have already been conferred on AMN by almost all the media houses in the country as well as leading industry bodies and academia. In 2021, AIMA had highlighted AMN’s role and described him as an ‘Outstanding Institution Builder’.
The award will be presented to AMN at AlMA’s National Leadership Conclave, scheduled to be held in April 2025 at New Delhi.
Set up in 1957, AlMA is among India’s most prestigious management institutions, and periodically honours successful professionals in the field.
